The Testimony of Three Witnesses

In Old Testament days, legal decisions required two or three witnesses to be in agreement with each other.  First-century Jews maintained this standard rigorously.  The author of 1 John is no different:  when it comes to the reality of Jesus as the Son of God, there are not just two but three witnesses that cannot be ignored.
